    The Choir of The Church of the Holy Spirit, Orleans, directed by Joan Kirchner, offer a service of Evensong with Prayers for Peace on Sunday, October 26 at 5pm, featuring music by George Dyson, Arthur Banyon, and Hubert Parry. All are welcome to attend; a free will offering will be available in support of peace efforts. Saint Barnabas’s invites all to a service of Celtic Vespers at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2025.  The contemplative, candlelit service of music and prayer will feature music by Nancy Hurrell, harp; Deborah Gemma, organ and piano; and the Saint Barnabas’s Choir.  For more information, call the church office at 508-548-3863 or visit www.stbfalmouth.org.

    Ragtime Concert with Harwich Brass Quintet and Organ On Saturday, April 20 at 3 PM, there will be a concert of the Harwich Brass Quintet with organist Marcia Hempel and clarinetist Lisa Bosley at First Congregational Church, UCC, in Harwich Center. Bob Whitehead, director of the quintet, has arranged several Joplin ragtime pieces for them. Organist Marcia Hempel will play Joplin, Fats Waller and other ragtime composers on the church’s Hutchings/Beaudry organ. Clarinetist Lisa Bosley will play a Joplin piece, “Bethena”, and a Stephen Foster song, both with the quintet. There will also be a piece for piano and brass quintet.
