Advent Christmas Concert Saturday, December 7th; 3:00pm First Congregational Church, Harwich Center The concert includes choral music accompanied by instruments, the Harwich Brass Quintet, and lots of fun. The theme this year is “Children”. The concert is free. Directed by Marcia Hempel.

Ragtime Concert with Harwich Brass Quintet and Organ On Saturday, April 20 at 3 PM, there will be a concert of the Harwich Brass Quintet with organist Marcia Hempel and clarinetist Lisa Bosley at First Congregational Church, UCC, in Harwich Center. Bob Whitehead, director of the quintet, has arranged several Joplin ragtime pieces for them. Organist Marcia Hempel will play Joplin, Fats Waller and other ragtime composers on the church’s Hutchings/Beaudry organ. Clarinetist Lisa Bosley will play a Joplin piece, “Bethena”, and a Stephen Foster song, both with the quintet. There will also be a piece for piano and brass quintet.
